Child-inquirer-investigator

When it comes to plan for a decade-plant trees, it is for life-train and educate generation where Children are the basic hope for the future, the builders of tomorrow for how often have these words been quoted and re-quoted. And one cannot deny that in modern times efforts have also been made to bring up children in the proper way and to give them the right education, but the most important of all things is that do we know what is a child?
Are we really making an effort to understand the child ,to give him the space he needs to grow up. Sometimes we are ignorant of his deeper needs and inner movements so that brings us to the real meaning of

EDUCATION.
Education begins at birth or more so even before birth. It is not rare to see a mother who is expecting a baby to think positive to be happy at all times, to look at good pictures, to be in peace and tranquility all the time just because it will be good for the baby .This is Education manifested in twofold action-first upon the mother for improvement and secondly for the child whom she is forming physically.

TO EDUCATE A CHILD IS TO EDUCATE ONESELF.
Most parents for various reasons give very little thought to the true education which should be imparted to the child. When they have brought a child into the world , provided him with food and satisfied his various needs they think they have discharged their duties. They will send him to school and hand over to the teachers the responsibility of his EDUCATION. There are parents who know that their children must be educated and who try to do what they can. But very few know that in order to educate a child one has to educate oneself, to become conscious and master of oneself so that one never sets a bad example to one’s child .For it is all through example that education becomes effective .

Parents who have an high ideal and always act in accordance will see little by little that their child reflects the nature and spontaneously manifest the qualities that they would like their child to behold .Quite naturally a child has respect and admiration for his parents and whom he will try to imitate as best as he can.

TO TEACH IN THE RIGHT WAY
Most teachers want to have good students –students who are attentive and studious who understand and know many things who answer well, this spoils everything. The students begin to rely on books on what others say and write and they lose contact with the super-conscious part which receives knowledge by Intuition .This contact often exists in a small child but is lost in the course of education.

Every child is an inquirer, an investigator, and an analyzer. Every child has the gift of imitation and a touch of imaginative power. From a very early age if the child is guided in the right direction and given the proper understanding surely there would be an all round development in the child. As teachers we must arouse in them the interest and desire for knowledge and progress.
